There were different types of reflections during the workshop. Some were kept by groups (keepers) who were custodians of certain aspects of the workshop, while others were individual reflections:
Where next?
Where next? Is a difficult question. For me I first need to assimilate the ideas and inventions created by the event. In particular the idea that while we (the participants) were involved in the event, we were simultaniously enveloped by technology. This was different to anything I had experienced previously. People were making 'real time' comments on what was going on. People were involved in articulating views and being joined by others who were almost 'looking in' on the event. This was different and created itself a community of practice that was sometimes insiders looking out and insiders looking in. Therefore, where next, might consider how real time commentaries can enhance and inhibit the landscape. Maybe this is a generational issue, in that we now have professional digital natives who can easily take on board such technologies and use them to the full. There are others who need to be introduced to this notion and carefully consider how this influences their practice. What is clear (to me at least) is that new technologies can indeed enhance thinking, expose ideas and views that are not easily articulated using other forms of communication. In which case, can the principles and practices of the event be replicated via digital communication. I was a member of the group that represented the 'keepers of enquiry'. I have little doubt that placing information from the event onto a digital platform will certainly aid such enquiry - what it will reveal - I am not sure. However, I am sure. it is part of where next.
